The all star cast, with steve Carell at the top cannot possibly suck. And it doesn't. Makes me wonder if the other goofy shows like intelligence, or that one with a space cruise ship, are ever coming back, (I might just go look that up.) Carell is really a great actor, has done some excellent roles. John Malkovich too.
Yo, this show has been getting more and more, well, just nerdy. It was good til captain cold blew up, Now it is a sad attempt to bring wacky wannabe magician's style flavor, just whatever they can, to avoid having to make sense of any kind. It could the fault of fan criticism, pushing them to leave us questions that nobody even knows to ask about mind fking, and defying the laws of nature and physics. Even for a fantasy, this is so far into stupidity... HOWEVER, Sarah doing Kirk was funny as f.
Owen has a more whiney voice, and a funky nose i can't help to focus on when I see him on screen. This 2nd episode does not disappoint. Following right along with the first with a little less action, but still enough to keep it interesting. This show is going to leave me wanting season 2 already.Definitely would like to see this one run for many more seasons. I get a bit of a buffy vibe from the targeted market of teens it seems to be reaching for.
Careful there hellfist...It is only the 1st one... no jinx... Whoever directed the moves for the fight scenes in arrow, likely did supergirl and many other cw shows. Because those dances is what blew the whole thing to me. Spinning, jumping , ducking. PUNCHES THROWN SO HIGH THEY WOULDN'T HIT THE PERSON AT ALL EVEN WITHOUT THEM DUCKING dam caps lock just ignore that, sry, It is much more realistic to have a staff that blows up cars and flies only stargirl around with its own attitude, than watching one of the arrowverse fights. Anyone tried to use a spin move in real life they get knocked on their ass unless its a sucker punch/kick, if your opponent knows you are fighting those spins are nothing but failure
I am going to have to watch this somewhere else, doodwatch links are too much against me. changing adblockers helped once or twice but then not. I can probably find a solution but it will be less of a pain in the ass to just go somewhere else. Still thank you for introducing this show, i have enjoyed it even for an oldie. Just because its been a pain I am only giving 2 stars
She should have put one between his eyes, two in the chest and let him burn with the palace, no sense putting it off so he can escape... he wouldn't give her a chance, or be merciful. But i guess she needed to make allies.
My sarcasm comes from what i have seen from the networks like a black little mermaid, or cinderella,. the whole point these groups are trying to make is they want an equal shot right... to be fair to them right...well sexual preference is not a reason to hire anyone for any job in fact it is illegal in usa but that wont stop them.
and if you are not gay you dont get the job, isn't that the same injustice to straight folks, as not hiring a gay person because they are gay. Literally they are bypassing talent based on someones sexual preference. a white straight man will never get the part... No sense in even going to the casting call. ha - sarcasm there people. straight people often get roles as gay people, i don't see why it even matters, Leave out that subject all together. equal opportunity gay or not, talent is what matters
Yeah I was hoping that he would get invited to the stage, but maybe another one. He does get some stage time on "Leverage" though. Also has some originals on youtube... He really is pretty good, even though Country isn't my preference. I can appreciate his talent.
Awesome indeed, origin story... it will be a long battle with the same enemy i think that will be the whole season and will wear it down to the level of lex luther vs superman. I hope she has a great future in acting. Loved the line, "i told you not to touch the staff". He delivered it perfectly.
STARting off with a badass car, massive action, lots of interesting bad guys. all in the opening scene, I think am going to like this, Luke Wilson at least is a familiar face, but when he was supposed to be driving his step daughter to school, he barely looked at the imaginary road in front of him. Not a good performance there. In fact it looked like he was looking at the script on his lap or something for a second. The house they moved into if they were really in Nebraska, would probably be under $100,00. Maybe as low as one of those tiny houses. I know i lived in Grand Island for 15 days and got the hell out. The "fresh air" he tells the kids about smells like fresh cow shit. And there is literally NOTHING there., More of my highly desired comments to follow later. YW (sarcasm, get over it)
Hellfist what bothers me more is he knew it was suicide, but he didn't figure what would happen to the tube once he trapped them in it. and what kind of useless superhero is dreamer... but I think the same about most of the dc garbage on cw, like arrow and the ballet they call fighting, batwoman is getting all the same treatment no suprise, but now its time to give stargirl a try...will check it out now
It was much better, maybe the best episode this season, aside from some of John Cryers earlier performances which were probably the best of his career. This one had a serious cliff hanger, to leave us with. And isn't brainiac supposed to be a droid of some non-human type?
Many of us were hoping that this new format would get rid of your verbal bullshit. Just take a hint and fuck off with your antiquated American viewpoint. Nobody likes you inadequate American pricks. We are however, having a great laugh at that Orange Baby that is your de=facto leader… “Is your whole existence based around fast food and oversized clothing?”
This was a good one, because it reveals what is obvious. i knew part of it would be the case but I thought blondie would be connected to the fbi or something, instead she is on the bad side. She is way too nice to not have been playing jess, (taking her for a ride - so to speak). betrayal to come everyone out for them selves, makes good tv, i like this series.
There is a major bit of confusion with the laws of sovereign citizens in the usa. They believe the laws do not apply to them, while locally it may have truth, but federally it does not. Therefore you need a license to operate a vehicle on any public road, and it must be registered, but the mistake here is they do not have to be read rights, they do not have a right to an attorney. So they lawyer up, it dont fly here
Last one was the downward turn for this show. This episode confirms the excitement is fading fast, as well as the humor, action, and definitely the suspense. I am betting though, that it will fire back up before the season ends.
totally with you there, and yes, John Cryer is stepping up his acting in a way he never could have done , without the split from 2.5 men, on this last supergirl show, i dare say his rage was pure from some place deep down in that mans soul. Even put a good scare on me... like...he mad in a spooky way.
so, I guess the batsuit is kryptonian made...agree that was stupid, especially since the batsuit was never stronger than just bulletproof and it isn't his power. His power is his money, wait thats bruce, batman is stealth his mind is his power and fighting technique's learned from raas. He is ninja. Shock and awe, not the suit...
So that is what is going on with all the quakes off the California coast....Pretty cool episode, but i almost thought Ben was going to transform, there for a minute. The scenes were kind of too slow a little overly dramatizing, but lots of fandom humor, little personality the show is beginning to develop for itself. Some act poorly, but Wrn is carrying the show, with outstanding talent. and maddi gives sincere effort I liked the happy content smug look on wrns face when her and ben were on the plane comming back. can almost see the song in her head
This was shit opening episode for season 5. There were other ways Reed could have got out... they over dramatized that whole scene,. No way he could not hold it or have someone else brace it with rubble so it wouldn't crush him. I say they must have been trying too hard to make it good, but such incompetent mistakes are temporary disturbances, it goes on my list of i stupid shit they do. Nobody bothers with details anymore...wait he a key player, i guess ill finish it to see how he miraculously gets saved...or next week...
Turns out to be a good feel good kinda romantic comedy and an odd sci-fi, that takes a few episodes to start getting used to. It is a nice story...emo, but nice, and cutesy. I still got 2 episodes to go, this episode was one of the best so far, even tho i liked the one with the kid trying to be older...
Monkee so far all you have done is bitched about what other people do or say. So check yourself before complaining about others. I was trying to be civil as you had requested, but now you are just being a jackass, and I will tell you to kindly piss off. Quit bitching ffrs. Save reviews to give your thoughts on shows, not other users activities. Thank you kindly.
One thing that I noticed about this show that was unexplained, is how, at first, dane vs saxon languages were different, but that all somehow went away and both spoke same language. That was the worst flabubb of an otherwise great show. There is room for more seasons, but i think it closed well here, if there is not.
I know right @mkh102, this show is so much better than i was expecting it to be. If anyone hasn't watched it, it beats allot of shows of its kind, kind of in the genre of Legacies, with a sort of shadow hunter vibe, you know teenie romantic drama with magic and all that.
Monkee why are you still telling people what to do and how to be? don't answer, just think about it. You were lucky he didn't tell you something allot worse. I tried telling people to act more mature once here. The result was unkind. Trust me you want to avoid that..
